This beautiful one-bedroom suite offers plenty of privacy along with an amazing location at the Resort at Squaw Creek! One of the top ski hotels in the nation, you'll enjoy an elegant suite with romantic fireplace, cozy living room, and a basic kitchen, along with luxurious resort amenities (including hot tubs, WiFi, and swimming pools) and ski-in/ski-out access at the Squaw Valley ski area. (Please note that the resort will directly collect a $40 daily resort fee upon check-in).
After a busy day skiing, snowboarding, or exploring the resort, return your own private mountain oasis to relax by the fireplace (and the flat-screen cable TV) in the living area. The kitchen has the essentials you'll need to prepare light meals, including a stovetop, under-counter refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and even a dishwasher (just no oven). The cabinets are stocked with pots and pans, dinnerware, and glassware, so you can easily prepare a hearty homemade breakfast each morning. If you prefer not to cook, the resort offers five restaurants to sample, with dozens more in the surrounding area.
The bedroom has a luxurious king bed dressed in high-quality linens, its own flat-screen TV, and a writing desk near the window for journaling or keeping up on email (WiFi is provided by the resort). The beautiful full bath has a soaking tub and separate walk-in shower, and the living room's sofa unfolds into a comfortable sleeper for extra guests.
In the winter, there's no better spot in all of Lake Tahoe (perhaps why Conde Nast Traveler included the Resort at Squaw Creek on its list of the top 50 ski hotels in the nation). The resort has its own private triple chair lift, so not only can you ski in and ski out, but you'll rarely have to wait in a line to do so! The resort even has over 400 acres of groomed cross-country trails.
In the warmer months, the resort is also home to an 18-hole golf course, hiking trails, fly fishing center, tennis courts, and guided horseback rides. The swimming pool complex (open year-round) offers multiple spots to splash and play, from a children's pool to a specialty plunge pool and several hot tubs - perfect after a long day of exploring the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
