The courtyard entrance is completely private. Each of the four units has a separate entrance. Because we value our privacy and take care of each other, we want guests to understand that the flat is for two people only. You may have occasional guests but absolutely NO parties.

This is a second floor walk-up (23 steps see photo; 4 then a landing; 8 then a landing; 6 then a landing; 5 then a landing) through a small lovely courtyard. Parking is street parking only. Most guests, as well as locals, use public transportation, Lyft, Uber, or Taxi. Driving in San Francisco is difficult with many pedestrians, scooters, bicycles, one-way streets etc. It's best to leave the driving to others.
Also, because our temperatures rarely exceed 70 degrees, we use the west windows and ceiling fans for cooling and eliminate air conditioning. We, like most flats in San Francisco, have no air conditioning. When we have the occasional heat wave (85 degrees at most), we hang out in the parks and outdoor cafes until the fog rolls in.
