4 Bedroom House in Sleepy Hollow, San Anselmo
Our beautiful home in the Sleepy Hollow area of San Anselmo is a perfect getaway home between the amazing vineyards of Napa, Sonoma and downtown San Francisco all with 45 minutes drive or less. With wonderful access to hiking and mountain biking just outside the gate, it is the perfect place to experience the bay area. Our home has a pool and hot tub to relax in as well. The town of San Anselmo and Fairfax are 3-5 minutes by car, 20 minutes walking down the hill to Fairfax out the backyard.
The space:
When you walk in the house, you are immediately struck the view of the pool, the pool side of the house has big windows facing the pool. One side of the house has the kitchen, dining and living room, the other side of the house has the bedrooms. The best part is if you are sitting in the living room or at the dining table, the rooms are at the other end where is it quiet. This set up means you can stay up late watching TV and not disturb your family or friends who want to sleep. The master has its own large shower and bathroom area, the guest room and 3rd share a bathroom between them. There is also a guest restroom by the entrance.
Guest access:
Just out the back gate you will have access to hiking trails and mountain bike trails. It is a 20 minute walk to Fairfax full of great neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops including the mountain bike museum. Did you know that mountain biking was started in Fairfax, California? Be aware the walk to Fairfax is downhill so you have to walk back up to get home or as we do, get an Uber to get back home after a nice meal. We also have off-street parking in the driveway for at least three cars.
Other things to note:
Our home is at the top of the hill so lots of morning sunshine one side of the house and afternoon sun in the backyard.
