This 1930's Spanish style duplex has the best of both worlds - it’s located in the heart of downtown AND is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood. Just 3 blocks from State Street, we are steps from the historic courthouse, Lobero & Granda Theaters, public library, art museum, groceries, parks, dining and entertainment. Should your activities take you further than the downtown corridor the bus transit center is 4 blocks away and has an express line to UCSB.
True to its original design the property has one building divided into two dwellings. This thoughtfully designed duplex has one common wall. Renters have full access to the 800 sq ft, fully furnished unit. Your front and back entrances are private and the living space is completely separate from the other dwelling. The owners share the other half of the duplex. You may see them coming and going from the driveway and garage area but otherwise, you’ll be afforded plenty of privacy.
Inside the bright and clean living space features hardwood floors throughout and retains much of it’s 1930’s charm. Enjoy the comfortable living room with plentiful morning sunlight, a fully equipped kitchen, and a separate dining room. There is one large bedroom with a king bed, down comforter and fresh sheets. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination - white fluffy towels await your stay.
Our family-friendly home can accommodate up to 4 people (1 king bed + 1 rollaway + 1 small couch). In addition to the king bedding, there are blankets and sheets for the rollaway and couch. The space is best suited for 1 or 2 adults. A family of four with smaller kids could squeeze in however it'd be tight. For those with an infant or toddler, there is a pack 'n play style crib available.
