Summary: Stayed at this lovely home in Tiburon in early July. Turned out to be The Best Place-- centrally and conveniently located for enjoying day trips, designed for traveling with family, and a relaxing atmosphere to wake up in and come home to. With bedrooms and a full bath on the ground floor, the house worked well for traveling with a septuagenarian and a twenty-something along for the visit. The house is comfortably but sparsely furnished (some rugs pictured in the photos have been removed). The rooms are generously proportioned. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Some things were in minor disrepair like a screen door or a lampshade but nothing serious. The neighborhood is very quiet which was great for sleeping with the windows open to enjoy cool night breezes. The master bedroom features a deck with a surprising and striking view of San Francisco so we enjoyed morning breakfasts and evening drinks on this porch! The Tiburon Linear Park was easily accessible for morning or evening walks or runs. It is located in relative proximity to places we wanted to explore including San Francisco, Sausalito, Stinson Beach, Mill Valley and San Rafael. Even Oakland and Sonoma were within an hour’s drive! It was easy to find and easy to get on and off of Hwy 101 at Tiburon. One day we took the last morning commuter ferry from Tiburon to San Francisco to enjoy a full day of sightseeing – Ferry Building, California Academy of Arts, Hyde Street Trolley, Ghirardelli Square -- all on public transportation and still made it back on the last ferry to Tiburon. Keys were made available in the owner’s absence when it became clear that our arrival would be delayed. On our first night we met with the owner’s brother for a straightforward introduction to the house. Towels and linens were adequate and the beds comfortable. The owner was very responsive to our only challenge which was a television that turned out to be unplugged, of all things. We enjoyed our stay in Tiburon and would recommend this place for families.
