Positive: We had stayed there before, about a decade ago when my son must have been about ten, so I had a pretty good idea what to expect; however, Bogart--the host--was exceptionally helpful! We asked for a tea kettle and he immediately provided a brand new one. He also suggested renting rubber boots for the hike in the Fern Canyon; thank god, we listened to him! There is no better location for hiking on the Redwood coast, especially given the unpredictable weather at this time of the year. Wildlife, especially the elk outside of our windows, was definitely a bonus too. Ultra quiet and clean too.

Negative: A tea pot would have been nice for those that like to bring real tea (not herbal 'tea' bags).
