The Ponderosa Cabin was built in 1965 with Cedar and Douglas Fir woods. Our modern rustic cabin will have you and your pets feeling right at home. The big trees and mountain air instill an authentic outdoor vibe.

Running Springs sits at 6100' elevation and is on the west side of mountain, easier and faster to reach from Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties.
Big Bear Lake sits at 6800' elevation and is on the backside of mountain. You will drive through Running Springs on the way to Big Bear.
Running Springs is a small tranquil town and Big Bear is more of a hustle and bustle town. We are conveniently located to all the main attractions on the mountain.
Driving home from Running Springs you will have less traffic and a shorter time on the windy roads.
Many guests take day trips to Bear Valley Dam in Big Bear which is only 13 miles away along the beautiful and scenic drive on Rim of The World highway which, also goes to Silverwood Lake @ 23 miles away.
