This renovated yet rustic barn on a working ranch has been recently converted to include all the amenities of home. Large space that can accommodate more than 6 with your air mattresses and sleeping bags. The Ranch offers lots of hiking trails with views & friendly animals to visit including goats, sheep, and chickens. The setting is very private as you sit quite a distance up the hill from the main house. beautiful views from the barn andyour own front lawn with picnic table and hammock await.
The space:
All the adventure of staying in a barn with the luxury of a full, modern kitchen, full bath with shower/tub and 2 bedrooms. The perfect vacation spot for your family or a group of friends visiting the Santa Ynez Valley area. The large original barn room is set up with a dining room/living space/tv room. Full wifi & Direct TV on a big flat screen. 2 double beds, 2 small floor mattresses and a large, comfy sofa for sleeping. Private outdoor dining area with gas grill and grassy lawn. You are a far distance from the main house and guest house, which are also guest units. And with prior approval, the barn can accommodate more than 6 - just bring your own air mattresses and sleeping bags. We can also board your horse at an add'l charge.****Please note electricity is somewhat limited and running many appliances at once is not recommended. Hence, the "glamping" aspect of the barn.
Guest access:
As a guest of the Ranch, you have access to the hills for hiking and exploration. Enter through the double gate beside the barn being sure to close the gate behind you. The immediate area surrounding the barn is for your exclusive use. The lawns and grounds surrounding the main house are for the exclusive use of the main house guests so kindly keep to the area of the ranch above the goat/chicken yard. Please do not enter any animal enclosures though feel free to feed with the snacks provided and give them love through the fences. Thank you!
Other things to note:
This barn has 5 rooms - a full kitchen, bath, 2 bedrooms and large living room. We have ample room in the barn that will allow you to sleep more than 6, camping style. You are welcome to bring air mattresses and sleeping bags. Some have even slept out on the lawn under the stars or pitched tents on the barn lawn. Just let us know!
