Summary: The house was perfect for our needs, the garden lovely (and actually much nicer than the pictures currently posted) and the location is ideal. The kitchen is very well equipped (one of the best we’ve seen) and there was plenty of linens. We appreciated the ease of arrangements, and the real estate agent was very responsive in general and particularly when we reported a plumbing issue that was fixed the same day. We also had a problem with the lock on the front door which wasn’t fixed because, I think, the feeling was that the neighborhood was safe so, don’t worry. I actually DO think it is a safe neighborhood but, nonetheless…. Generally, the house was clean but not up to the standards we would expect especially, as another person pointed out, since we’re paying a cleaning fee, not to mention the daily cost. Both bathrooms had issues – hair in the shower drain, crud on the shower and sink handles and some mildew in the second bathroom. Also, we found some of the dishes, glasses and silverware in the cabinets to not be totally clean. The kitchen, while well equipped, needed some maintenance. One of the two ovens didn’t work, nor did 3 of the 4 range burners until we cleaned them. The outdoor grill also needed a fair amount of elbow grease before it was usable. Having said all that, we would return to use the house again.
