Summary: This is the only hotel in los banos that did not discriminate against my niece because of her financial status. I applaud them for this and would recommend everyone in this area to use this hotel instead of the other hotels in los banos.

Summary: We paid in advance through H.c for a non-smoking room that guaranteed a refrigerator, which was essential for my wife's medicine. We were first sent to a room that was reeking of smoke. We called and were moved to a different room (it took no less than a dozen attempts to unlock that door) which was truly non-smoking, but (like the first room) had no refrigerator. We called the front desk again, but we we told that our reservation did not include a refrigerator. We had the confirmation showing otherwise, but the Red Roof Inn refused to provide what was promised. H.c called the hotel, but they couldn't get any satisfaction, either. I was then given a major run-around for the next hour on the phone with various people at H.c, finally put on hold/ignore being told that I had to stay on the line. The room was clean, but the tiny cooling unit in the window was unable to cool the room which was hot all night. The 32" flat-screen TV with premium channels promised on the website turned out to be a 19" tube TV with Univision. The outside of the hotel is not maintained well. So, if you just need a clean bed in a hot room, you can save money here. But don't look for satisfaction from the innkeepers or those who falsely advertise its features on the web.

Summary: I hate to give the place such a low rating because: 1) the room was clean and 2) customer service was great. The killer was this: The temperature in Los Banos was well over 100 every day and the small air conditioners could not keep up with cooling the room down. Even at night when temps dropped to 80 the room stayed far hotter. I didn't have anything but fitful sleep because of how warm the room was. Considering sleep was the only thing I needed and was there for I would not stay there again.

Summary: Overall it was a good stay. The first room received didn't have the ammenities we were expecting (microwave and refrigerator) so we had to change our reservations. The second day our room keys stopped working, and we needed to get new ones. The toilet barely flushed, which was inconvenient, but we worked around it. The office staff was very nice and friendly, and the cleaning staff (Martha in particular) was very helpful. It was my second time at this hotel, and I would use it again.

Summary: Overall, the hotel was clean and in good condition - other than the AC unit. We checked in late and there was only one room left, so I didn't call the office. The AC blew out cool air. We slept with no sheet or blanket. In the morning it was cooler outside than in the room. The bed was pretty comfortable though. I left a note on the comment card and it said management would contact us. But they didn't. I would stay there again if there was a working AC.

Summary: OK for the money. Just stayed overnight while passing through. Not many TV channels and ice machine was out of order. Good location and service. They have a no noise policy after 10 pm so you can get some sleep!

Summary: The front desk staff were great -friendly and helpful. If the rest of the hotel had been on the same level as the desk staff, I would have rated the hotel much higher. The room smelled bad, there were flies in the room and there was mold in the shower. There was no fridge or flat screen (as advertised on web site and on the sign at the front of the hotel). The bed was not very comfortable. It looks as though they have tried to cosmetically fix a few things-new carpet, modern bed spread,new floor tile in the bathroom. But the carpet was stained, the tile had paint splatters and I really couldn't get past the smell. We went out and bought air freshener and a fly swater to make the room stayable. Having said all that, what was I expecting for $45 a night...

Summary: The staff members were very nice and helpful. Its the hotel building that needs improvement Upon arrival I asked where the pool was they, mentioned it was under reconstruction. That was disappointing since it was the only reason why we booked this room. The carpet in the room was filthy and the Jacuzzi in the room looked very old and dirty. The property owners seem like they don't care for this place from the outside it looks very abandoned.
