4 Bedroom Cabin in Weed
Welcome to our modern cabin on a 2-acre enclosed property with an apple orchard. The panoramic view of Mt Shasta is unparalleled and can be enjoyed from the expansive terrace, living room, dinning room and master bedroom. The cabin was recently renovated, appliances upgraded, all windows replaced and the setting is peaceful and quite. The terrace includes a gas grill, outdoor seating and an umbrella for indoor/outdoor living. We are located in Hammond Ranch, 9 miles north of downtown Mt Shasta.
The cabin was built by Ben's parents in the early 80's and was renovated once we took it over as a family home. The appliances have been upgraded, all the windows replaced and the furnishings recently purchased. New towels, linens, mattresses, carpet and bathroom flooring give the cabin a fresh feel. The wood-burning fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere and heats the cabin well in winter. There is also a monitor heater, if necessary. The floor plan is open with a loft-like feel.
We have a shoes off policy and we provide an assortment of slippers for your comfort. No smoking or pets.
In total the house can sleep 16 people. This is assumes two people sleep together in the full, queen or king beds and breaks down as follows:
1. upstairs master bedroom has a king bed : 2 people
2. upstairs guest room has a queen bed : 2 people
3. upstairs loft has a twin bed : 1 person (2 is possible but cozy and not counted)
4. upstairs common space fold out couch has a full size bed: 2 people
5. downstairs living room fold out couch has a queen bed : 2 people
6. downstairs bunk bed with a trundle: 3 kids or 2 adults (The bunk beds are for kids but adults can sleep on the bottom bunk and bottom trundle. An adult can not sleep on the top bunk due to the weight limitation of 80 lbs.)
The above totals 12 people, in the main portion of the house.
We have an additional, separate room called the "Cabin Suite". It’s connected to the house and is a little more private. It shares the bathroom on the ground floor. We charge an extra $145/night for this room. It sleeps four people as follows:
7. one queen bed: 2 people
8. loft w/two twin beds : 2 kids or 2 adults
When you book, if you have more than 12 people, we typically require you to rent the cabin suite. This is not automatically charged via Air BnB, we have to add this cost on. This can be discussed on AirBnB’s on-line messaging system.
Note: The front door has a keypad entry and a Ring Doorbell with video.
