Summary: The fire alarm went off at 7:45am on the first morning and it was WAY TOO LOUD. The walls and floor are concrete and the noise was literally so deafening that I couldn't even think my way out of that room let alone walk out. I don't even think the decibel level of the alarm was to code standards. NFPA 72 and many local codes limit fire alarm appliances to a maximum sound pressure level of 110 dBA at the minimum hearing distance from the appliance, which would be from the perspective of a person standing under the alarm. There is no way that this passes code given the concrete floors / ceiling. but to their credit the staff was very nice and they gave me some points on some account that I can't easily access without spending 30 minutes to fix something (for whatever that's worth). Everything else about this hotel I really like. Staff was very nice and I like this modern architecture. Desk was big. I was able to do lots of work. The free wifi was a very decent rate of 80 mbps download... I can't remember the upload. Everything about this hotel is good... except the fire alarm. I'd come here again... but not before having earplugs ready to go in an emergency.
