Welcome to our woodsy retreat!

Located just a 1/2 mile walk from C&O canal/potomac river access, a 2 mile walk to Harpers Ferry via the Maryland Heights walking bridge. Local hiking, biking, boating, historical sites, wineries and breweries all around!
***There is no parking along the canal. The distances mentioned above are WALKING distances. Our home is the closest parking access point to the canal path at this time***

Enjoy some time to unplug in our peaceful woods surrounded by wildlife. You will have a private studio suite and access to a large deck with a grill and outside seating. Private bathroom, kitchenette, and all you need to have a comfortable stay.

Please read all disclosures before booking! We don’t like to give surprises and hope that you will take these things into consideration BEFORE booking.

There is a queen sized memory foam bed, as well as a queen sized air mattress that will fit, but take note that it will be tight so we don’t recommend more than 3 people. 4 can be acceptable at the very most.
You will have a private bathroom with a shower, a large outdoor deck, some patio space, a grill, and a kitchenette with all basic needs provided.
Free Parking with a pathway to private entrance is also provided.

During your stay you are welcome to use any of our water craft. We have a two person paddle board with seat attachments to convert to more of a kayak, we have 2 canoes, a single person inflatable kayak, and a couple of river tubes. Life jackets are required, and we can supply those. If you choose to use any of our watercraft you will have to sign a waiver releasing us from any responsibility of injury/harm.
You will be responsible for getting the items to and from the river. We may be able to offer assistance at times. But cannot promise it. If you wish to use any of these items during your stay, let us know as soon as we can so we can ensure that they are accessible.

Disclosures:

There will be a road project on Harpers Ferry Road which will impact access to some food/grocery/local amenities during the months of April 2023-October 2023 (Estimated). Please review the posting from the National Park Service for additional information. And please reach out to us if you’d like to discuss the impact this may have in your travel plans.
If you are looking to enjoy all that the outdoors has to offer in our area, you will still be able to do that as usual. If you are looking to go out to eat every night or tour around by car, there may be some impacts to driving time as a result of this road construction that will require planning ahead.

Cell service/Internet connection:
We can provide our wifi password. HOWEVER, in this location we can only get satellite internet and it is notoriously spotty, particularly in the evenings or during rain/thunderstorms. If you need a place to stay with reliable internet, we ask that you please take this into consideration. We offer what we can. But this is something we CANNOT fix or change at this time. Thank you for your patience and kind reviews regarding this disclosure.
**If you happen to have Verizon, that should give you some signal. That is what we have and about all that works here.

This home is in the woods. Which means there are bugs. Lots of them. Spider webs pop up overnight around the deck area.
I do my best to sweep/clean the deck and patio areas before you arrive. But please note that this stuff happens over night. Especially after it rains.

Our electric panels are located in this room. Should there be an emergency, we will need to be able to access them. We will certainly be courteous and knock for consent before entering if you are here. But we ask that you agree upon booking to let us check them should anything come up and there is a need. This is a rare thing, so I don’t suspect a large issue. They are covered and we ask that they stay that way.
