We are located 25 minutes from shops and restaurants in the Carmel Village, up in the mountains by the Carmel River and Los Padres Dam. There is a winding road through the mountains, so if you don't like curvy roads, this might not be your journey, however it’s a very scenic drive. Also, there is a way around the mountains which is straighter, but longer by 10 minutes.
For those who'd like to nourish themselves in nature, you can kick back, relax, and get rejuvenated for the coming season. You will feel a sense of peacefulness the minute you step foot on this special piece of property.
The Bunkhouse Suite is 400 square feet, with a 200 square foot deck. The rock walls that were built in the 1940's have lichen growing on them because the air is so pure.
If you want a place to get away from it all, this is it. The property is unique with the old hitching posts still in place from the original owners, and the lucky horseshoes hanging. Start off your day sitting on the private back deck with cup in your hand, and let the weight fall off your shoulders. The stars are so clear and bright away from all the city lights, they really do put on a show at night. Or just sit on a rock by the stream without a care in the world.
Take a hike to the Carmel River or further up to the Los Padres Dam.
