Escape to this quiet, seemingly remote country getaway nestled down a peaceful, tree-canopied lane. Relax and unwind amid big woods, creeks, woodland trails, complete with a very large strip pit lake, and smaller lake just mere feet from your private cabin. Use our large covered dock, kayaks, paddle boat, canoe and explore all this huge waterscape and land have to offer. All manner of Missouri wildlife reside here.
The space
Fully furnished Cabin has 3 bedrooms(master with king. 2 large bedrooms with queens. 2 single beds available as needed). 2 full baths, large family room with fireplace, large completely furnished kitchen(we supply fresh eggs as available free to our guests) and dining, laundry room, large partially covered deck with comfortable lounging area, bbq, outdoor dining and fire pit. Handicapped accessible.
Please note..Our nightly rate is for four(4) guests...more guests are $10 per person/ per night, including tent campers.
We have WELL WATER, It may have a slight sulphur smell, sometimes none, sometimes more than others depending on weather. We are working on eliminating it completely. It is perfectly clean and safe. (We test). We provide reverse osmosis filtered water at kitchen sink and for ice maker. Separate bottled Water dispenser is provided for hot and cold water.
Guest access
This is a working farm, as well as a private outdoor recreational area. There are chickens, and cattle in the back pasture.
Civil war relics have been found on the property, and we have, what looks to us, and have been told, is an American Indian mound! Bring your metal detector and feel free to hunt the land for treasure. Come in the winter and try our great trail system for cross country skiing. ..in the spring and summer, for ATVs and motorbikes!
If all this is not enough, take a short ride to the various antique shops, great nearby restaurants, historical Clinton, explore the Rock Island Spur of the Katy Trail, shop the Amish Markets, and visit Red Fox Winery.
Other things to note
1. After Jan 1, 2019, we have decided to accept pets on a case by case basis. Additional pet cleaning fee of $30/ea for entire length of stay will be charged.
2.Extra charge for launching a boat is $10, for each off road vehicle is $20 and covers entire length of stay.
